My Bristol Favourites: the Wylie Sisters

By Bristol24/7  Friday Mar 2, 2018

The three Wylie sisters, Katherine, Harriet and Hannah, come together to share their passion for food and drink at their pop-up at Zitto & Bevi on Nine Tree Hill off Stokes Croft on Sunday, March 18 and Monday, March 19.

The trio will be pickling, foraging, fermenting and tasting to bring their guests the best in local and seasonal produce, with a strong focus on female growers, suppliers and producers. There will also be a bar where you can try the best in local cider and beer, natural wines and sherry.

For more information, follow @WylieSisters on Twitter. For tickets to their four-course meal on the Sunday evening, visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/wylie-sisters-food-and-natural-wine-pop-up-spring-2018-tickets-42433676268

Here are the top-five Bristol favourites of Katherine, Harriet and Hannah:

Bravas

Bravas is great to pop into for a quick bite or to have a leisurely dinner. We all really enjoy sitting at the bar (worth waiting for) and having a little beer with some tapas, before drinking our way through the sherry list.”

We The Curious

“Where else in Bristol can you watch your virtual reality selves dancing? We The Curious is also a great place to take our nephew – whilst only a year old, and mostly interested in the fixtures and fittings last time we took him, it will be great to see his excitement as he discovers something new each time.”

Thorny

“Without a doubt, Thorny is the most fun and innovative night we have been to in Bristol. They showcase amazing talent from the global queer scene, and we always spend the whole evening dancing.”

Goats in the gully

“We had a lot of discussion about our favourite goats, as obviously don’t want to neglect St Werburgh’s City Farm. However, these beasts found on the slopes of the Avon Gorge are amazing. You’re not guaranteed to see them but when you do It makes you feel like an intrepid explorer.”

Bar Buvette

“There is nowhere better to go in Bristol than Bar Buvette if you want a glass of natural wine, and a plate of cheese or charcuterie. An ever-changing list and arguably the best cheese toastie in town.”
