Officers were called to the nightclub at around 3am on Saturday following reports of an altercation.

Two other men have also been charged in connection with the investigation into the incident.

Rafiki Powell, 30, and Meikel Powell, 29, have both been charged with GBH after a 55-year-old man was assaulted outside the club shortly after 3am. Both will appear before Bristol Magistrates on Tuesday.

The makeshift shrine outside Blue Mountain in memory of Jama Powell

A makeshift shrine with candles, flowers and bottles of spirits was set up outside Blue Mountain, with tributes to 37-year-old Jamel, also known as Jama.

He has been described as a man with “the biggest smile and the biggest heart”.

One handwritten tribute said: “Another life lost to the futility of this world. You touched so many and hurt so few.”
