Three sentenced after Castle Park attack
Two men and a woman have been sentenced at Bristol Crown Court after a man was stabbed repeatedly in the face with a broken bottle.
Ryan Kent-Jones, 23, and Daryl Burke, 25, were convicted of Section 18 wounding and Georgia Wilson, 19, was convicted of Section 20 assault, after attacking Jeff Dylan (left) in May 2015 near Castle Park.
Burke pleaded guilty to Section 18 wounding and a separate charge of robbery and was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison.

Kent-Jones and Wilson denied all charges and went to trial in September.
Kent-Jones received a sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment while Wilson received a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.
Mr Dylan was walking home alone after a night out with friends and talking on the phone to his girlfriend, who was on holiday in Malaysia. He was surrounded and set upon by a group of people. The attack ended with Mr Dylan being struck in the face with a broken glass bottle between five and six times.
PC Joanne Healan said: “Sadly, in February this year Jeff Dylan passed away aged 32.

“This cruel, brutal and unprovoked attack was an extremely distressing experience for Mr Dylan and for his partner, who heard it all, as well as his family who supported him through it. It has been even more of a devastating and emotional time for Mr Dylan’s partner and parents since his tragic death in February.
“Following the attack Jeff struggled to come to terms with the extent of the horrendous injuries he suffered to his face and as a result he did not cope well with day-to-day life.
“The whole incident had a massive detrimental impact on Jeff’s health, wellbeing and subsequently his life. The repercussions of that continue to be felt deeply by Mr Dylan’s partner and family.
“We hope that the sentences passed here today bring some comfort and closure for Mr Dylan’s family knowing that justice has been done.”
One of the key witnesses, Carly Gibbs, has been given a Sheriff’s Award by the Judge, who said her evidence was crucial in securing justice in this case.
