Sustainable lights for crocodile worshippers
A television crew from the BBC in Bristol have provided sustainable lighting to a remote Papua New Guinea village:
While the Tribes Predators & Me production team were recording the final episode (which goes out on Sunday, April 3 on BBC Two) in Papua New Guinea, filming the crocodile worshippers of the Sepik River, they discovered that the people there struggled with lighting.

They relied on batteries, which are expensive and damaging to the environment.
Before the Whiteladies Road-based team left, they gave each family in the village a solar lantern which can be easily charged and last all night, providing them with a sustainable alternative to batteries.
