Man in critical condition after Lockleaze assault

An investigation has been launched after a man was seriously injured in an assault in Lockleaze.

The 25-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after reportedly being stabbed in Melton Crescent at about 8.30pm on Thursday.

Another 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the offence and is in custody for questioning.

A police spokesperson said: “If anyone saw this assault and hasn’t yet spoken to us, please call via 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5216206044.”
