Hire e-scooters can now be ridden on Railway Path for first time
Hire e-scooters and e-bikes are now allowed to be ridden on the Bristol & Bath Railway Path for the first time.
The sections of the path between Bitton and Emersons Green towards Temple Meads are being opened up via the Dott app.
Concorde Way from St Werburgh’s to Muller Road and an expanded area in south Bath are also now rideable by users of the hire vehicles, which are still officially in a trial period.
Iqbal Ahmed, head of public policy UK/Ireland at Dott, said: “Our mission to make sustainable transport simple and accessible for everyone, while reducing congestion and emissions.
“By increasing coverage in south Bath and opening up more routes in Bristol, Dott continues its commitment to support local mobility needs but always with respect for the safety and needs of both riders and non-riders alike.”
