Search continues for missing mum and newborn
A desperate hunt is continuing for a mother and her newborn baby.
Police are continuing to urge the public to help them find Charlotte Bevan and her four-day-old baby Zarnee Teanna after fruitlessly searching for the pair.
Charlotte went missing from St Michael’s Hospital with Zarnee on Tuesday evening.
She did not have any shoes on and was thought to be wearing hospital slippers when she left with her baby into the freezing winter night. She also did not have a coat and Zarnee was only wrapped in blankets.
Police have released the CCTV video below of Charlotte leaving the hospital last night.
They are reported to have left the maternity unit at the Kingsdown hospital last night between 8.30pm and 9pm – but where they went after that remains a mystery.
Police have been searching the area surrounding St Michael’s throughout today.
Charlotte is aged 30, about 5ft 8ins tall, of average build with dark wavy hair. When she went missing she was thought to be wearing a long black top and black trousers but was not believed to be wearing a coat. She may appear confused and worried.
Baby Zarnee is wrapped in blue and white striped and coloured blankets.
Police are asking anyone who sees Charlotte and Zarnee to call 999 immediately.
