Filming for Cadbury advert on Bristol’s steepest residential street
Filming for a Cadbury advert has been spotted on Bristol’s steepest residential street.
Production crews added a splash of purple to Vale Street, also widely recognised as the steepest residential road in England.
Near the junction of Arno’s Street and Upper Street, a wall was transformed into a temporary shopfront complete with a Cadbury awning and branded signage.
Carrying shopping bags, two actors scaled the famous landmark with the assistance of a pulley system.
The road in Totterdown is closed until Thursday to allow for filming while production vans and equipment have taken over the nearby roads.

According to the Ordnance Survey, Vale Street has an average gradient of 21.8 per cent, making the climb up – and the walk down – a challenge.
The road is also famous for its annual Easter Sunday egg-rolling competition, where residents race hard-boiled eggs down the hill to see whose travels the furthest.
The advert is being filmed by Blink Productions, a London-based company that has previously worked with brands including Yorkshire Tea and Skittles.
