Bristol City Council’s first all-out election
Most of the attention may be on the mayoral election, but Bristol will also be voting in 70 councillors on Thursday across all 34 city wards. And yes, there is also the Avon & Somerset police and crime commissioner elections as well.
The all-out council elections replace the former system that used to see only a third of the council chamber voted in each year.
Each ward across Bristol has one, two or three councillors depending on its size.

Ashley, Avonmouth & Lawrence Weston, Hartcliffe & Withywood, Hengrove & Whitchurch Park and Westbury-on-Trym & Henleaze will each elect three councillors.
Hotwells & Harbourside, St George Troopers Hill and St George West will each elect one councillor.
All other wards will elect two councillors, under the first past the post voting system.
