Attempted assault at Henbury Road bus stop

A man in his early 20s tried to pull a woman into a nearby park in what is thought to be an attempted sexual assault at the Henbury Road bus stop on Friday night. 

Police are appealing for a witness following the incident that took place shortly after 9pm on April 1. 

The man is described as white, with short blonde hair, blue eyes, about 5ft 5ins tall. He was wearing a dark waist-length jacket and dark trousers when the incident took place.

The incident was witnessed by a member of the public in a car. When the witness stopped their car the suspect ran off towards an open space behind Crow Lane and Henbury Road. 

Police are asking anyone with information to contact DC 4557 Oliver Eglon on 101 and quote crime reference number 5216069533.
