New installation lights up Lockleaze

By Ed Stokes  Friday Oct 25, 2019

A new light installation and alternative museum will be open for the public to view between 3pm and 8pm on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 in Lockleaze.

Curio is a collaboration between artists Savinder Bual and Elena Blanco, who have previously worked in partnership on the Pineapple Orchestra at Colston Hall. The duo have worked with residents in the area to build doors that people walking by can look into and learn more about the neighbourhood.

A sign next to the installation will tell people passing by more about the installation

“Myself and Elena decided to make an alternative museum and light installation using reclaimed doors,” says Savinder. “We were looking for people to give us objects related to home. I hope it brings people together and that people can see themselves in the stories.”
