Last chance to enter the Great Bristol 10K!
It’s your last chance to be Great on May 15. Entries are coming in fast for the Great Bristol 10k, and if you’ve not entered yet – now is the time!
This year’s Great Bristol 10k is gearing up to be one of the biggest yet, with 12,000 people expected to take part across the day.
The event starts and finishes in the Harbourside area, where the runners’ village in Millennium Square will include retailers, massage facilities from THE medical, a stage hosting entertainment from BBC Radio Bristol and representation from many local charities.

Runners and spectators will also have access to free Wi-Fi provided by the Great Bristol 10K, for that all-important post-race, medal selfie.
The route takes in the dramatic Avon Gorge and passes beneath the iconic Clifton suspension bridge. Six bands and three Heart Radio music power sections will help keep runners motivated all the way around the course, once they cross the 10K finish line, participants will receive a medal and a technical t-shirt in their finishers pack.
For the first time, the event will also include a Family Mile, which sold out in less than eight weeks. The new addition – for enthusiastic runners aged three and up – is designed to help families enjoy getting active together and will take place straight after the 10k.

Andy Graffin, project manager of the Great Bristol 10k said, “We’re excited to be taking over what were already fantastic events for Bristol. In 2016 we want to carry on the tradition of delivering quality running events in the city, starting with the Great Bristol 10K and then moving on to the Great Bristol half marathon in September. We’re hoping that with the addition of some bells and whistles, the events will appeal to even more runners from the South West and also around the UK.
“We’re expecting 12,0000 runners of all ages and abilities taking part on Sunday, as well as lots of supporters and spectators around the city.”
The Harbourside Market will take place as usual from 10am – 4pm meaning runners and their supporters can enjoy lots of great food options from local independent businesses.
There are less than 100 places left. Visit grtrun.org/Bris10k now for more information or to enter.
