Tattoo parlour fundraising after equipment worth £8,000 stolen
A tattoo parlour is raising funds after essential equipment estimated to be worth over £8,000 was stolen from their studio in Bristol.
Inks, tattoo machines and other equipment described as their “livelihood” were found missing from Urban Jungle’s studio in St Jude’s when owners Jayke Bishop and Kate Roberts arrived on Monday morning.
“Without it, we can’t work, can’t earn, and can’t keep the doors open for the clients who support us,” said Bishop, emphasising the importance of the stolen equipment.

Urban Jungle is located within a former storage facility on Pennywell Road, which is also home to the music venue Document
The burglary at the tattoo studio is believed to be one of several break-ins that affected shops located within a former storage facility on Pennywell Road, which is also home to popular music venue Document.
On the crowdfunder page, Bishop said: “We’re asking for help to replace the multiple machines, inks, power supplies, and other essentials that were taken. Every single donation, no matter how small, gets us one step closer to being able to work again and rebuild what was lost.
“If you can donate, share, or spread the word, we’d be massively grateful.
“Thank you to everyone who’s reached out with support, it means everything right now
The crowdfunder has raised 80 per cent of its target of £3,500 in a single day.
A spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police said: “A man has been charged following an investigation into a burglary in Bristol.
“Martin Payne, aged 48, of Hathway Walk in Easton, appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, charged with five counts of burglary and one count of assault by beating.
“The charges follow an investigation into a break-in at a number of businesses on Pennywell Road overnight on Monday.”
