Greek deli and cafe opens on Park Row

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Mar 11, 2015

Park Row has a further taste of the Mediterranean with the opening of a Greek deli and cafe just a few doors down from another shop, Viandas, selling Spanish specialities.

You can’t miss the provenance of Sotiris – even the awning has the blue and white stripes of the Greek flag.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Inside, the shelves are almost buckling under the weight of the food, which includes many Greek delicacies, most of which have been made by the eponymous owner Sotiris’ mother and father at their bakery in the city of Giannena near Corfu and then sent to Bristol.

On a visit on Wednesday morning, we had bougatsa (£2.60) with sugar and cinnamon on top, fyllo pastry wrapped around a thick creamy white custard.

Other sweet options include Greek-style croissants alongside the likes of baklava, kataifi and pourakia; all things that can be explained to you before you buy.

Among the savoury items there is feta cheese pie, stuffed koulouria and spanakopita.

All look amazing. If you want a coffee, however, better to go to Didn’t You Do Well two doors away. The Greek coffee here may be authentic but its acidic punch was a bit too much for this delicate English palette.
