UK Independent Crisp Tasting Championships returns to Bristol pub
The second annual UK Independent Crisp Tasting Championships is returning to a Bristol pub.
The celebration of the creativity and craft of independent crisp makers takes place at the Robin Hood on April 18.
Organisers of the event hope that it will bring together crisp enthusiasts, food lovers and anyone with a passion for savoury snacks.
The event at the pub on St Michael’s Hill is free to enter and will feature a public tasting session where attendees can sample crisps and vote for their favourites
No tickets are required with visitors just needing to buy a drink at the bar in exchange for a tasting card, which can be used to cast votes across the 11 different categories including best packaging design, most unique flavour and best texture.

The Robin Hood co-owner, Courtney Salmon, said he was “amazed” by the response to the first championships in 2024.
Salmon said: “People were debating flavours or discussing texture and even analysing the packaging design!
“It showed just how much creativity and quality exists in the independent crisp world.
“Bringing the event back for a second year felt like an obvious next step.”
