Pizza, pasta and pollo replaces Michelin-starred restaurant

By Martin Booth  Monday Sep 29, 2025

Limone promises to be “your new favourite Italian restaurant”.

It has opened on the ground floor of the former General Hospital in a unit on Lower Guinea Street that was most recently occupied by Casa and before that was the Michelin-starred Casamia.

When Casamia first opened in Westbury-on-Trym it was a traditional Italian trattoria and Limone follows in that tradition with pizza, pasta, lasagne and risotto all on the menu.

“Come in for a warm welcome in our stylish bar area, serving a wide range of beers, spirits, wines, cocktails and liqueurs,” says the website of Limone, which is owned by Antzelo Markou.

“If it’s delicious Italian food that you are looking for, you will be delighted by our range of starters, pasta, pizzas, main courses and desserts.

“Everything cooked and served to perfection by our chefs, who are passionate about their Italian dishes.”
