New bar promises ‘the most exciting wine list in the South West’

By Martin Booth  Monday Sep 22, 2025

The award-winning team behind Kask have revealed that they will be opening their second wine bar, Kask 2, in October.

The new bar is located on Cheltenham Road and, like the original Kask on North Street, will be championing natural and low-intervention wine with more space allowing for a bigger by-the-glass list and an on-site kitchen providing a regularly changing menu of bar snacks.

Kask co-founder Charlie Taylor says that Kask 2 will have “the most exciting wine list in the South West” including a dedicated selection of UK natural wines.

Kask 2, which is opening on October 2 in the former La Guinguette, will have “more space to play, more room to pour and way more scope for the kind of bottles we get geeky about”.

Taylor said: “Kask in Bedminster is similar to that little place you discover on a European short break.

“Six years on, Kask 2 is a little louder but with the same no-nonsense approach to discovering something we know Bristol will love.”
