Panunzio’s Kitchen was only one of three gelato makers to represent the UK in the prestigious competition.
Founded in 2022 during an unusually hot summer, its opening year saw long queues snaking down Cotham Hill, firmly establishing the gelato shop on Bristol’s food and drink map.
Speaking after the win, Daniele said: “We’re truly humbled to win this prestigious award for the second year running, especially after such tough competition.
“We’d like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support, our incredible staff who work tirelessly to deliver an excellent experience every time, and my wife who supports both the team and myself throughout this journey.”
Originally from Rome, Daniele developed his passion for gelato by watching his grandmother. Before moving to England, he ran two shops on the Adriatic coast.

Panunzio’s Kitchen currently offers around 15 flavours, including Monte Bianco — a goat cheese and strawberry gelato, which sealed their place in the European Masters this year.
Daniele and Thary will be flying the Union Jack in November as they take on the master gelato makers around Europe.
