Chocolate treats specialist named UK’s most popular coffee shop

A Bristol cafe has been named as the most popular coffee shop in the UK.

Mrs Potts Chocolate House scored top marks in a recent study.

The cafe midway on Park Street has enjoyed a loyal following over the years with its variety of hot chocolates and chocolate-based food and drink offerings.

The study carried out by Solopress ranked coffee shops by analysing social media metrics and Google search volumes, comparing year-on-year trends.

Bath branch of Society Cafe which has two locations in Bristol on Farr’s Lane and Baldwin Street, was seventh on the list.

The original Mrs Potts opened in 2017 further down Park Street before relocating to larger premises in November 2020.

The business was founded by Amelia Potts, whose chocolate-inspired food and drink venture was inspired by her mother and her family in Australia.

There are now two other Mrs Potts cafes in Bath and Cardiff, alongside their flagship store in Bristol.
