Friska open new city centre cafe
Yellow metal tables and chairs on the busy thoroughfare between Prince Street and Queen Square herald the arrival of Bristol’s newest Friska.
It’s the successful Bristol chain’s eleventh cafe in total – and unlike most of its compatriots, it will be open at weekends.
Friska’s first cafe opened on Victoria Street in 2009 and has since expanded to locations across Bristol and Manchester, with one also in Luton Airport.
The new cafe between Prince Street and Queen Square is Friska’s 11th to open
In a corner unit on Royal Oak Avenue that most recently was Caffe Gusto, this new Friska seats around 30 people inside on a variety of stools, chairs and banquettes.
Four almost-floor-to-ceiling windows in one corner can open out like concertinas on particularly hot days, with this cafe like all other Friskas also well geared up for the takeaway trade from nearby office workers.
