News / New Openings
Even more new openings…
Since our roundup of 31 new openings was published in last month’s magazine, a few more to look forward to have come to light.
Following the lead of the King Street Brew House opening soon in, err, King Street, more new pubs and bars named after their locale will be the Gloucester Road Ale House in the former Foresters Arms, and in the centre of town the Prince Street Social, a 120-cover brasserie from the City Pub Company.
Just around the corner from Casamia’s new home in Redcliffe (reviewed on this very page), the team behind The Doghouse on St Stephen’s Street in the Old City are opening The Nook which promises to have an industrial Victorian bazar feel in what used to be the Velindra.
Just around the corner from The Doghouse, the former Birdcage on Clare Street looks set to become Pho, a Vietnamese restaurant.
Gloucester Road’s Pizzarova will be opening within a shipping container in Wapping Wharf, serving a more street food-style offering than their bricks and mortar restaurant.
Over on North Street (where by the time you read this, Bagel Boy should have opened their third restaurant), Tincan Coffee Co. will be opening a permanent premises having previously been based in vintage vans including outside Sanctum last year.
Next to the Bristol & Bath Railway Path in Greenbank, building could be starting soon on Cafe 5 nestled into an opening in an existing brick boundary wall on Gratitude Road.
And finally, experienced landlord Mark Farrell looks set to open micropub Chums in a former convenience store on Chandos Road in Redland.
