Bread, coffee and wine at new Bristol Loaf
‘Artisan bakery & speciality coffee’ are the words written above the large blackboard behind the bar at the new Bristol Loaf in Redland.
It’s a statement of intent but there are also dozens of bottles of wine on shelves on the back wall indicating the other theme at Bristol Loaf’s fourth location across the city.
Loaves of bread are on display in the window of what for many years was office supplies shop Elworthy on the corner of Redland Road and Coldharbour Road.

If you like sourdough, you’re in for a treat with everything from sourdough baguettes to sourdough focaccia.
Two choices of toasties – ruben and leek & cheese – are currently on the menu during a soft launch period, with this newest Bristol Loaf eventually due to open seven days a week.
Two espresso options have the choice of different Triple Co beans with the Montpelier roastery also supplying the batch brew, while the pour-over is from London’s Dark Arts.
