Remembering Nick Talbot aka Gravenhurst
A special 60-minute radio programme celebrating the life and music of Nick Talbot – aka Gravenhurst – will air on Saturday, December 5, marking a year since the acclaimed artist’s untimely death.
Once described by The Guardian as “surely among music’s best-kept secrets”, Nick gained a passionate following across Europe thanks to his huge talent as a songwriter and musician. He was also a very popular and active member of the local music scene, who made countless friends and solid supporters in Bristol during his 10 years of making music here.
The programme will be presented by BBC Introducing’s Richard Pitt, and will feature tracks from the three live sessions he recorded with Nick over the years.
There will also be contributions from friends, fans from all around the world, fellow musicians and broadcasters including Lauren Laverne and Gideon Coe.
