The Cube to host short film written by Benjamin Partridge and starring Mike Wozniak
Benjamin Partridge is a comedy writer and performer, as well as being a producer and podcaster – the man behind the award-winning Beef and Dairy Network Podcast, as well as one of the ‘beans’ (with Henry Paker and Mike Wozniak) in Three Bean Salad.
And, having written and directed a short film – for which he also created the soundtrack – he can add at least two more job titles to that list.
Daddy Superior was shot on the Llyn peninsula in May 2024, and is “a zero-crew short,” Partridge says, “which means that the only people involved in the production of the short were me behind the camera and the actors in front of it”.

Chris Cantrill and Mike Wozniak in Daddy Superior
Starring Wozniak alongside Chris Cantrill, Sammy Dobson and Amy Gledhill, the film follows the quiet rural existence of Father Martin and Brother Thomas, a pair of pious monks whose lives are hit by “an unexpected disruption”.
Following screenings in Cardiff, London and Manchester, the film will be shown at a special event at The Cube, taking place on June 25.
Partridge has curated a programme of additional short films to be shown on the night, which will also feature a Q&A with himself and Wozniak.
