Shaun the Sheep premiere announced
Aardman‘s eagerly anticipated Shaun the Sheep movie will receive its world premiere in London on Sunday 25 January. The film opens nationwide on Friday 6 February.
We’re seen the finished film, but Aardman have asked us nicely not to review it yet. So we won’t. Suffice it to say that Shaun’s legions of fans will not be disappointed. Now it’s just a question of waiting to see which desperate tabloid quote whore will be first to get his or her name on the poster under “Ewe’ll love it!” Oh, and we can probably get away with telling you to keep ’em peeled for a tip of the hat to Bristol’s very own Encounters short film festival.
In the meantime, an official poster (strapline: Same sheep. Different turf.) has been unveiled on the Empire website. Some more stills from the film and behind-the-scenes images have also been released (see above). These include the first shots to be made public of new character Slip – a lovable yet mangy orphan dog who has a major role to play in the story.
