Hot Tub Cinema returns
Fancy slobbing in a hot tub while watching a movie? Lots of people do.
Last time Hot Tub Cinema came to town it was a more-or-less instant sell-out. Now they’re back for five nights of sploshy cinematic cavorting with what they’re calling – groan – the Tub Tropicana Tour, which reaches Paintworks on May 29.
A different movie is showing each night to 120 punters. You can either book one of the 20 tubs for six people or make some instant intimate new buddies by sharing with strangers.
Rather than soggy popcorn, there’s a licensed bar with tub-side waiter service.
Be warned, though, that this ain’t for those who like to enjoy films in quiet contemplation.
“We encourage our guests to dress up, sing, dance, drink, play and most of all enjoy their favourite films, alongside friends old and new,” says founder Asher Charman.
Here’s the full film line-up:
May 29: The Lion King
May 30: Ghostbusters
May 31: Grease
June 1: Top Gun
June 2: Dirty Dancing
