Bath outdoor film screenings revealed
Bath Film Festival has announced two outdoor film screenings in early September.
The box office hit Paddington is showing at Bath City Farm on Saturday September 5. Tickets are available at the gate and cost just £2. Under 10s get in free, making this something of a bargain for prolific breeders. Doors open at 7.15pm, with the film on screen at 8pm-ish – depending on the light conditions. You’re invited to bring blankets and a picnic.
For more adult audiences, they’re offering a pedal-powered screening of the fourth Mad Max film, Fury Road. This takes place at the Salisbury Club, Walcot Gate, on Thursday September 10. Once again, tickets are available on the gate and doors open at 7.15pm for an 8pm start. Admission is £5/£2 (concessions). But you’re advised to get there early for this one as the capacity is just 299. Additionally, suitably furious pedallers are required to power the screening, which is organised in association with Electric Pedals. You’ll be delighted to learn that there’s also a bar and barbecue (with veggie option) at this screening.
Bath Film Festival assure us that these screenings will only be cancelled in the event of the weather reaching “biblical proportions”.
