Colette Sadler brings ‘post-human dance fiction’ to The Mount Without
“Imagine a post-human future where human bodies are on the verge of disappearance.”
Performed by Leah Marojevic, Colette Sadler’s Learning from the Future visits The Mount Without on January 14-15, as part of an eclectic Winter dance programme from IMPERMENANCE.
The piece is set in a sci-fi world, and centres around the “futuristic female cyborg” Body A – a mere container through which information, and movement, can be channelled.

Sadler’s approach explores “the replacement of the living body with the properties of the inanimate as well as with the virtuality of its post-human representation.
“It uses the medium of movement to amplify the primitive power of bodies against the background of their dematerialisation and disappearance.”
Learning From The Future is at The Mount Without on January 14-15 at 7.30pm. For ticket availability, visit www.headfirstbristol.co.uk.
