Comedian and ‘All Killa No Filla’ podcast star Rachel Fairburn on solo standup tour
Seasoned standup Rachel Fairburn has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC One and Two), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave) and The Russell Howard Hour (Sky Max).
She has built up a significant fanbase not only for her comedy, but for co-hosting the true crime podcast phenomenon All Killa No Filla with fellow comic Kiri Pritchard-McLean.
The pair recently took the serial killer-themed show around the country for a 10th anniversary tour.
Now, Fairburn is back on the road, this time with a new solo standup show, Side-Eye.
It represents her first foray into character comedy, as she brings to life an array of personalities on stage, amongst them “a self-proclaimed grime artist/sex therapist, your slanderous mate, a loose-lipped Dame, a Diva with a restraining order, a feckless man, idle parents and maybe even the devil herself”.
Alongside her selection of comedic personas, Fairburn promises to tackle some of her gripes, irritations, and will be “venting some anger at greetings cards” somewhere along the way.
Rachel Fairburn: Side-Eye is at the Hen and Chicken Studio on April 11 at 8pm. Tickets are available at www.henandchicken.com.
