Aylmers Circus on the up and up with a brand-new tour that ends in Bristol
Founded in Gloucestershire in 2024, Aylmers Circus is still a relative newcomer, but for its founder, writer and theatrical producer Harvey Aylmer, its roots reach all the way back to childhood.
Aged 10, he turned his garden into a circus to raise money for a cancer charity, and thereby lit a flame that would not be extinguished.
After leaving school, he trained under Nell Gifford at Giffords Circus, and has since worked with Cirque du Soleil.

In his own company, his vision is to deliver a contemporary blend of playful storytelling and daredevil circus to family audiences, with plenty of dazzling singing, dancing, costume, and theatrics along the way.
Starring Nancy Trotter Landry as “a gloriously unhinged director”, Aylmers’ new show Making a Scene will complete its tour at The Redgrave Theatre on July 5.

The Aylmers Circus ensemble receive their applause
“I’m incredibly excited that even more people will get to experience Aylmers Circus in 2026”, remarks Aylmer.
“Expanding to new venues feels slightly mad – but in the best possible way. We want as many people as possible to be part of what we’re creating this year.”
