New David Hockney collection lands at Hidden Gallery
Hidden Gallery are welcoming a month-long exhibition of limited edition prints and hand-signed landmark exhibition posters from arguably Britain’s most famous living artist, with all works for sale on a first come, first served basis.
David Hockney: On The Wall will feature some of the artist’s most famous still lifes, pools and landscapes, made across a career that now spans seven decades.
Original posters in the collection include a rare poster that Hockney originally made for an exhibition at Salts Mill, Yorkshire, and dedicated to its former company secretary, Linda Wilkinson.
Amongst the prints on show is Dancing Flowers, May 1986, created as part of Hockney’s celebrated ‘home-made’ prints, made while he was experimenting with the form using a friend’s photocopier.
For Hidden, the event promises to introduce prospective collectors to an affordable piece of Hockney – with prints and posters selling for a fraction of the cost of unique works by the artist.
