Kid Crayon’s latest exhibition fuses art and vinyl records
Renowned artist Kid Crayon is returning to the forefront of the Bristol arts scene with his latest exhibition Art on Wax.
The inspiration comes from vinyl music and the “euphoric” feeling of listening to tunes through record players.
Kid Crayon told Bristol 24/7: “I’ve organised this out of the necessity for more events like this in the city”.

Kid Crayon is known for his street art and experimental style.
Having initially studied animation at UWE Bristol, he now creates art through a range of mediums, including, but not limited to, album covers, clothing and even toys.
His new exhibition features artwork on vinyl canvasses by over 50 artists from Bristol and across European, including DaStar, Matthew James, and Jimmer Willmot.
With a mix of varied art styles, such as tattoo, graffiti and illustration, Art on Wax will be a “kaleidoscope of artistic expression”.

The exhibition at D-Unit Gallery kicks off with a launch event on July 26 with DJ Stilts spinning vinyl and a stall selling official merchandise, alongside a limited issue of magazines containing artwork from the event.
Speaking about the event, Kid Crayon said: “I just wanted to create an atmosphere where there’s some nice music, some drinks, and some amazing artwork that will blow people’s minds when they come down.
“The type of people who are interested in this area of art usually brings the vibes with them.”
“Anyone that comes down for that is guaranteed to have a good time!”
The event will also be open to the public from midday to 5pm on July 27 and 28.
