Silent ‘fish disco’ marks day of action for nature, parks and green spaces
A silent disco with a twist took place on College Green.
For this wasn’t just any silent disco; it was a ‘fish disco’ marking Saturday’s day of action for nature, parks and green spaces.
But why a fish disco?
According to organiser Danica Priest, the ‘fish disco’ “is the mocking nickname given to a planned acoustic fish deterrent at a nuclear plant development on the Severn Estuary”.
“It’s been used by corporate lobbyists to justify removing environmental protections so we are reclaiming it!”
