Production company to deliver global training programme tackling sexual violence
A Bristol video production company has been appointed by a global insurer to deliver an international workplace training programme on tackling domestic and sexual violence.
Bristol-based firm Omni Productions is behind Safe Spaces, a video-led training initiative being rolled out across AXA’s global workforce.
It is estimated that one in three women and one in six men experience domestic or sexual violence in their lifetime
The programme uses drama-based films and expert storytelling to help employees recognise signs of abuse, respond appropriately and guide colleagues towards specialist support.

It is already available in 11 languages, with further versions planned.
Working from its Bristol base near Cumberland Road, Omni collaborated with AXA’s HR, inclusion and communications teams, alongside specialist organisations, to ensure the content was accurate, culturally sensitive and suitable for international audiences.
The campaign comes at a crucial time amid renewed global focus on workplace and domestic safety of women.
According to Office for National Statistics figures, more than 2.3 million people in England and Wales alone experience domestic abuse and violence each year
Safe Spaces was created in response to help workplaces move beyond written policies and take a more active role in supporting those affected.
In addition to producing the films, Omni created a dedicated Safe Spaces website to host training resources and act as a hub linking employees to specialist support services.

Sam Hearn, co-owner and managing director at Omni, said: We’re proud that work created here in Bristol is helping to support people in workplaces around the world.
“This project shows how creative businesses in the UK can deliver meaningful global impact, using storytelling to tackle complex social issues with care and support real people.”
The B Corp-certified company has previously delivered projects for clients of vastly varied backgrounds, including the Crown Prosecution Service, UWE Bristol, Bosch, Wiltshire Farm Foods and global energy giant RWE.
The latest commission is seen as further endorsement of Omni’s expertise in human-centred HR and internal communications content, including employer brand and training films.

Kirsty Leivers, chief culture, inclusion and diversity officer at AXA, said: “Working with Omni on Safe Spaces has been a collaborative and creative process.
“Their expert approach, combined with a clear understanding of the responsibility that comes with this subject, has helped us deliver a programme that supports employees across our global workforce.”
