Kayaking 420 miles around the Cornish coast for charity

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Feb 17, 2022

Director of Mortgage Marketplace, Kevin Spear, has announced plans for a charity fundraiser raising money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Anthony Nolan.

Kevin will be making his way around the coast of Cornwall in a solo sea kayak. The distance will be over 420 miles over the course of 10 days.

“The Oncology and Haematology Unit at BRI is a centre of expertise and care for the whole of the South West region, delivering some amazing work,” said Kevin.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

“This charity is close to our hearts. Both myself and a colleague have had close family members treated for blood-born cancers by the team there. We are committed to doing the fundraiser to support the tremendous work being done every day.”

Kevin will start the fundraiser in June, starting at Rame Head near Plymouth and kayaking all the way to Hartland Quay, near the Devon border.
