Accounting giant relocates to premium premises

By Milan Perera  Friday Jan 31, 2025

A global accounting firm with a centenary legacy is one of the latest occupants at the Assembly building by the Floating Harbour.

Forvis Mazars, with over 40,000 professionals worldwide, is no stranger to Bristol’s business community, having operated in the city since 2013 from its former office on Victoria Street.

It now joins a community of leading businesses, including Clarke Wilmott, BT, Nordic Semiconductor, and Knight Frank, all of whom occupy state-of-the-art offices within the Assembly building.

Forvis Mazars will occupy the entire eighth floor (7,800 sq. ft.) of the Grade A office space in Assembly Building C, which will house its 70-strong team.

Assembly is a new development on Cheese Lane offering waterside spaces, rooftop gardens and a blend of indoor and outdoor amenities.

Forvis Mazars specialises in a comprehensive range of professional services, with particular expertise in audit, tax advisory, consulting and risk management.

Assembly is hailed as a pioneering development that combines a state-of-the-art workplace with a strong focus on well-being.

“Assembly Bristol is setting the standard for a mixed-use regeneration scheme, offering flexible and intelligent workspaces across three buildings, as well as cafés and public spaces,” said Chris Meredith, director at Savills, who represents Assembly Bristol alongside JLL as letting agents.

With the public area surrounding the development now complete, the outside space features an art trail by the celebrated artist Alex Chinneck, including twisted phone boxes and lampposts, as well as landscaped areas that encourage community engagement.

The project has reconnected Temple Meads to the city centre for the first time in 50 years and marks a transformative addition to Bristol’s urban landscape.

Located just a short distance from the historic Cheese Lane Shot Tower, Forvis Mazars is the latest addition to the wider Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone — a 25-year regeneration project set to create thousands of jobs and contribute £1.6 billion annually to the city’s economy.
