Bristol Beacon reports remarkable first 100 days with 100,000 visitors and soaring ticket sales

By Bristol24/7  Monday Mar 11, 2024

In a triumphant comeback since reopening its doors, Bristol Beacon has marked its first 100 days with astounding achievements, boasting a 30% surge in ticket sales for the months of December, January, and February. The vibrant venue has seen an impressive 97,000 tickets sold for upcoming shows, showcasing a resounding return to live entertainment.

In this short period, Bristol Beacon has welcomed 100,000 visitors through its doors, treating them to a diverse array of events, including 75 concerts, three world premieres, 14 comedy gigs, three family shows, and two festivals since its reopening on November 30th.

The stages of Bristol Beacon have hosted a star studded lineup of performers, featuring the likes of Sophie Ellis Bextor, Jools Holland, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Fatoumata Diawara. The venue has become a hub for artistic expression, with over 2,300 children and young people utilising the new spaces for practice and performance, exemplified by the Bristol Youth Choir’s participation in the choral premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Odyssey alongside the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and City of Bristol Choir.

Beyond its entertainment success, Bristol Beacon, as a music charity, has garnered national recognition for its commitment to social change through music. The charity received the Rocksteady Award for Progressive and Inclusive Music Education and was named a Youth Music IDEA Champion 2024 for its dedication to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access. The awards highlight Bristol Beacon’s unwavering commitment to fostering positive change through music.
