Horror in the Caves: The Fly
- Director
- Kurt Neumann
- Certificate
- 18
- Running Time
- 94 mins
When boffin David Hedison hops into his matter transference gizmo, things go amusingly awry and he winds up with a fly’s head and wing. Our hero’s insect partner, meanwhile, is lumbered with his head and arm. Naturally, his brother Vincent Price blames a family curse…
Very different from David Cronenberg’s 1986 body horror remake, this original Fly boasts entertainingly shoddy effects and a fabulously grotesque ending. It’s back on screen in spooky ol’ Redcliffe Caves as part of this year’s Horror in the Caves Halloween warm-up weekend, courtesy of Bristol Film Festival. Go here for ticket details.
