The great British horror anthology peaked between the mid-sixties and mid-seventies, though 1945’s Dead of Night was a classy early example and – if you must – The Monster Club was a rare eightes entry in the genre. For its special Halloween treat, the Hellfire Video Club is cherry-picking some of the best individual yarns from these portmanteau films.

They’re not saying in advance which ones to expect, but we’d be very surprised if tales from Amicus classics Tales from the Crypt and Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors aren’t included.
