Don’t Torture a Duckling

Director
Lucio Fulci
Certificate
18
Running Time
102 mins

A typically gore-drenched 1972 giallo flick from Lucio Fulci, who went on to direct the more high-profile Zombi 2 and City of the Living Dead. This one boasts some rare social commentary, as it centres on a series of murders of young boys in a small rural village. It also attracted controversy on account of its criticism of the Catholic Church.

It’s back on screen in the States of Danger and Deceit: European Political Thrillers in the 1970s touring season programmed by HOME, Manchester.
