After 19-year-old Hana falls in love with a sexy guy, she finds he’s a wolfman. But – hey, ho – who’s going to let a bit of nasty speciesism get in the way of romance? So the couple get down to some inter-species fornication, producing two children: Ame and Yuki. But when their father carks it, the kids are faced with making a decision: will they live as humans or wolves?
This dubbed screening of Mamoru Hosada’s family animation is screened as part of the Watershed’s More Than Miyazaki Japanese anime season. If it gets you (or your nippers) in the mood to make a plushie beast, you’re in luck: the ‘shed is also hosting a free Call of the Wild Family Drop-In.
