Suggs: My Life Story + Q&A

Director
Julien Temple
Certificate

Running Time
96 mins

Oil City Confidential and The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson director Julien Temple‘s latest rock flick is an expansion of Madness frontman Graham ‘Suggs’ McPherson‘s stage show.

Here’s the official synopsis (with the spelling of Ian Dury’s name corrected to spare their embarrassment): “The death of Suggs’ beloved cat on his fiftieth birthday triggers a personal quest to discover what happened to the father he never knew.  Stunned by what he learns, Suggs is taken back through his life to a childhood on the streets of Soho featuring music written by The Kinks, Prince Buster, Ian Dury and, of course, Madness.” This one-off screening is followed by a Q&A broadcast live from Koko in Camden.
