Royal Opera House Encore: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Certificate
12A
Running Time
170 mins

The first full-length new work created for the Royal Ballet since 1995, Christopher Wheeldon‘s imaginative reworking of the Lewis Carroll classic made its Covent Garden debut in 2011 and is rapidly becoming established as a regular part of the repertoire.

It’s fabulously designed by Bob Crowley, bringing to life all those familiar characters, including a nervy White Rabbit, a tap dancing Mad Hatter, a creepy-crawly caterpillar and a supremely grumpy Queen of Hearts. The music is by Joby Talbot, who composed the score for The League of Gentlemen.
