Following a sell-out run in 2019, the Rambert2‘s exhilarating early career dancers return to Bristol Old Vic with their latest triple bill.
Rambert2 extends Rambert’s traditional reach by forming annual companies of outstanding young professional dancers, and by taking distinctive, world-class dance to more people in more places.
This Triple Bill 19/20 is described as “fierce new moves from fierce new dancers”.
‘Rambert2’s new programme features Sin, a duet by Damien Jalet and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, created as part of their 2010 Oliver Award-winning piece Babel (words). It also includes Sama, a new work by Andrea Miller, a star of the New York dance scene known for “visceral, imaginative work, where dancers can seem to do the impossible” (Dance Magazine). Completing the programme is new work Terms and Conditions by Jermaine Spivey, a dancer and choreographer best known for his standout performances with Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot.’.
This performance is part of Bristol Old Vic’s month of dance, part of its commendable mission to shine a light on an art form that needs championing in Bristol. There is a special discount offer for the three dance pieces: Face In / Hot Mess, Chotto Xenos and Rambert2. Visitors can save 10% if they book 2 dance shows, or save 15% if they book all three. The discount will be automatically applied at checkout. Tickets can be booked at www.bristololdvic.org.uk or by calling 0117 987 7877.
