Bristol authors Yasmeen Ismail, Emily Koch, and Joff Winterhart celebrate World Book Night with a discussion of book-writing, book-making and book-reading.
Yasmeen Ismail is an award-winning author, illustrator and animator. She studied at art school and worked on many different projects ranging from advertising and short films to children’s publishing before she started writing and illustrating children’s picture books.
Emily Koch is a graduate of the Bath Spa Creative Writing Course, and her debut novel published earlier this year If I Die Before I Wake has become a Top 20 Bestseller and lauded by critics and readers alike.
Joff Winterhart’s graphic novels include the Costa-shortlisted Days of the Bagnold Summer and last year’s Driving Short Distances last year. Zadie Smith named Joff one of the most talented graphic novelists in the UK’
