Record attendance at Ashton Gate for England vs Wales

By Martin Booth  Sunday Mar 31, 2024

Ashton Gate Stadium has broken the attendance record for a home Red Roses match in the Women’s Six Nations outside of Twickenham.

19,705 fans packed into Ashton Gate on Saturday to watch England beat Wales by 46 points to 10, with plenty of Bristol Bears players in both starting lineups and on the scoresheet.

England scored eight tries including one each from Bears Hannah Botterman and Lark Atkin-Davies, alongside three conversions from Holly Aitchison; with Wales’ solitary try scored by Bristol’s Keira Bevan.
