Fierce football rivalries were put aside on Friday evening as Bristol Rovers and Bristol City came together to support men’s mental health.

The Talk Club Cup, returning for its second year, drew more than 3,000 fans to Ashton Gate Stadium and saw former players and celebrities taking to the field including Louis Carey, Seb Choudhury, Gardna, Scott Murray, Roni Size and Joe Sims.

Bristol City claimed victory with a score of 4-0 on the night, levelling the overall record after Rovers won the inaugural Talk Club Cup in 2025.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!

“We would like to thank all the celebs and legends fit making this such a special night,” said Ben Akers and Gavin Thorpe, co-founders and co-CEOs of Talk Club.

“For the team at City and the Robins Foundation for hosting the event and to the Bristol Rovers community Trust team – especially Adam Tutton for his relentless energy and optimism.

“But this night wasn’t just what was going on on the pitch.

“It was also the hundreds of conversations our team had with fans, many promising to attend our Talk Club groups at City and Rovers.”
