Lionesses to play Belgium at Ashton Gate in 2023

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Nov 8, 2022

The Lionesses will take to the field in Bristol for the first time since 2015 when they play Belgium at Ashton Gate Stadium.

The Women’s Euro champions will be taking part in the Arnold Clark Cup on February 22 2023, defending their title against Belgium, Italy and South Korea Republic.

On the same Wednesday evening, Korea versus Italy will also take place in BS3 as part of the final round-robin double-header matchday.

Ashton Gate managing director Mark Kelly said that he is “delighted to be able to welcome the Lionesses back to Ashton Gate”.

He said: “It has been incredible to watch the Lionesses’ journey and we’ve followed their success since hosting them here back in 2015.

“During that time, we completed our stadium redevelopment and we’ve been proud to host a number of high-profile international sporting and entertainment acts.”

Kelly added: “I look forward to us playing our part in the Lionesses’ World Cup preparations and hopefully the perfect send-off, in front of what I’m sure will be another record crowd.”

Tickets start from £10 for adults and £5 for concessions and are available now from www.arnoldclarkcup.com.
