A pair of George Ferguson’s red trousers are currently for sale on eBay, with the current top bid standing at 1p.

The mayor’s slacks are being auctioned by a charity hoping to raise enough money to provide solar power at the Calais refugee camp.

They are being advertised as an “iconic piece of Bristol heritage” and all money raised will go to Solar Power to the People.
