Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm fundraising to give tiger a new home
Months after announcing their ‘Project Carnivora’ campaign, a multi-phase conservation project that will see new homes built for endangered carnivores, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm have started work on the second phase of the project: building a new home for a rescued tiger.
Aqua, named for his love of water, was rescued by an international animal welfare charity, Animal Advocacy and Protection (AAP), at the Poland-Belarus border in October 2019.
He was found in a cramped horse box with ten other tigers, many of who were covered in their own faeces.
is needed now More than ever
Aqua was then taken to an AAP rescue centre in Spain, where he has remained for the past six years.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, the zoo and conservation charity set on a working farm in Wraxall, are now fundraising so they can give Aqua a “forever home”.

Aqua is currently being housed in a rescue centre in Spain
Pablo Delgado, head of big cats at AAP, said: “In Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm we found the ideal partner to offer Aqua a new and forever home. Noah’s Ark is not only planning to build an amazing enclosure, but they also have a very high standard in animal care and strive for the best wellbeing of their animals.”
To build Aqua a new specially-built tiger habitat at the Zoo Farm, Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm are asking the public for £175,000 in donations.
Larry Bush, director of Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, said: “Meeting Aqua has been transformative for our team, he’s truly captured the hearts of the team here at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. His story is one of survival and resilience, and it is an honour that in partnership with AAP, we’re able to offer him this second chance.
“We are committed to continuing to raise awareness for the importance of conservation of endangered species, while providing next level care. Providing a forever home for animals like Aqua is at the core of that vision.
“Project Carnivora is an ambitious project and with your help, together, we can raise the £175,000 needed to welcome Aqua into his forever home.”
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm hope to welcome Aqua to his new home this summer.
Donations can be made via the charity’s Just Giving page.
